Note that Muse Research does not distribute nor sell this plug-in. Rather, this free download configures your Receptor to allow your previously purchased plug-in to be authorized using the plug-in developer's own authorization methodology.

You must already own the original plug-in to be able to authorize it using this download!

IMPORTANT: You need to have access to the Receptor GUI via a connected VGA monitor or by using Receptor Remote; you cannot authorize FXpansion plug-ins from Receptor's front panel.

IMPORTANT: If you haven't already done so you MUST update your Receptor to the latest version before installing this file to ensure compatibility.

How to install:

1. Download the plug-in "prep installer".
2. Copy it to the "<Receptor Hard Drive>\Drop Installers Here\" folder.
3. Click the "Install" button from the Receptor's SETUP window.
4. Follow these plug-in specific Installation Notes:
   • Install BFD2 on a computer using the BFD2 disks.
   • Copy the entire contents of the "FXpansion/BFD2/Audio/" folder from the computer to the "Hard Drive/Program Files/VST Plugins/FXpansion/BFD2/Audio/" folder on your Receptor.
   • Run the "FXpansion License Manager" from "Run Utility" on the SETUP page.
   • Authorize BFD2 (Note that the Online Activation wont work since it attempts to open a browser. You will have to send the saved "BFD2.AuthRequest" file and receive a .Auth file back from the FXpansion website before you can authorize BFD2).
   • Load BFD2 and go to the edit view.
   • Click on the "Tick" icon on the top menu on the BFD2 GUI.
   • Press the buttons "Scan data path for new files" and "Trash and rebuild all databases" before loading Kits/Grooves, etc.
