Battery 2 Installation and Authorization Procedure
Note that Muse Research does not distribute nor sell this plug-in. Rather, this free download configures your Receptor to allow your previously purchased plug-in to be authorized using the plug-in developer's own authorization methodology.
You must already own the original plug-in to be able to authorize it using this download!
IMPORTANT: You need to have access to the Receptor GUI via a connected VGA monitor or by using Receptor Remote; you cannot authorize Native Instruments plug-ins from Receptor's front panel.
IMPORTANT: If you haven't already done so you MUST update your Receptor to the latest version before installing this file to ensure compatibility.
How to install:
- Download the plug-in "prep installer".
- Copy it to the "<Receptor Hard Drive>\Drop Installers Here\" folder.
- Click the "Install" button from the Receptor's SETUP window.
- Follow these plug-in specific Installation Notes:
On your computer, insert the Battery 2 CD/DVD. The contents of the "Battery 2 Library" folder should be copied to the Receptor hard drive at:
<Receptor Hard Drive>/Samples/Native Instruments/Battery 2 Library/
Please note that there are some known issues to be aware of when using Battery 2 on Receptor:
- Redraw problem for some patches.
- Cannot re-open the Edit pane.
- Cannot use NI short cut keys.
- All Native Instruments, and "powered by" Native Instruments, plug-ins require the use of the NI Service Center for authorization. If you haven't yet downloaded and installed the NI Service Center on Receptor please do so first. You only need to do this once. You can then proceed straight to authorizing your NI plug-ins on Receptor.
